Submission Guidelines
​The Journal of Empirical Reviews in Multisystem Syndromes (JERMS) welcomes submissions of narrative reviews and clinical case reports in the fields of Internal Medicine and General Surgery. Authors are encouraged to adhere to the following guidelines to facilitate a smooth submission process:

1. Types of Submissions

Reviews: Comprehensive reviews on specific diseases, treatments, or emerging topics that is involve in Multiple systems.

Clinical Case Reports: Detailed accounts of unique or significant clinical cases, including relevant background, treatment methods, and outcomes.

2. Submissions
We accept submissions electronically.
​
3. Manuscript Formatting
-
Manuscripts should be typed in 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, with 1-inch margins on all sides.

Please include a title page with the title of the manuscript, authors' names, affiliations, and corresponding author contact information

Please Include a minimun of 3 suggested peer reviewers with their Affiliations, Fields (eg. Internal Medicine) and emails.

Authors cannot be any of the suggested authors, otherwise this will lead to immediate rejection of the manuscript.​

Use subheadings to organize the content, including Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion (Variable for narrative reviews) or Case Presentation, Discussion, and Conclusion (for case reports).​

References should be formatted according to [specific citation style, e.g., APA or Vancouver].

4. Word Limit

Narrative Reviews: 3,000 words maximum (excluding references and tables).

Clinical Case Reports: 1,500 words maximum (excluding references and tables).

5. Ethical Considerations

Authors must ensure that their work complies with ethical guidelines, including obtaining informed consent for case reports.

All studies involving human subjects should have received approval from the relevant institutional review board or ethics committee.

6. Submission Process

Manuscripts should be submitted electronically.

Authors will receive a confirmation email upon submission.

7. Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts will undergo author-suggested peer review process followed by post-publication peer review (if needed). Authors will be notified of the review outcome within a reasonable timeframe.

8. Copyright and License
Upon acceptance of a manuscript, authors will retain copyright but will grant JERMS a license to publish the work under an open-access model.

9. Fees
There are no submission fees or Article Publishing charges (APCs)! Everything is completely free!
